General Guidelines to access the above online databases

The online databases are accessible within the campus only.

User can save the full text PDF of the article of the above e-resources in the system and send to their personal E-mail IDs or print the article which can be collected at photocopy section by producing their ID card. Faculty / Staff have to enter in the register.

As all the online databases are copyrighted, users are informed to use the content for academic reference only and avoid the following:

    1. Altering, recompiling, systematic or programmatic copying, publishing or republishing of any of the text, output, search results, or other information from any of the E-Resources
    2. Systematic or programmatic downloading (for example, downloading entire journal issues).
    3. Reselling, redistributing, printing, electronically copying for fee for service or any other commercial purpose.
    4. Electronically distribute , via e-mail or otherwise, any article of any of the E-Resources.
    5. Post, upload, publish in your personal blogs, website, or any other commonly accessible websites.


Access procedures of the above online databases are as follows:


1. IEEE Xplore Digital Library

IEEE Xplore Digital Library is published by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), USA. It provides access to IEEE journals, transactions, letters, magazines, conference proceedings, IEEE standards and IEEE educational courses.  

It can be accessed with the following steps:

    1. User can further browse by clicking on the options on the left hand side under 'Table of contents', may it be journals and magazines or conference proceedings or search using keywords.

2. ASME Online Journals

The Subscription covers the current and back issues of online journals published by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME).

The full text of the articles can be accessed with the following steps:

    1. Click on 'Journals' and start accessing the required journals from the list.


3.ACM Digital Library

The ACM Digital Library is published by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), USA. It is the most comprehensive collection of full-text articles and bibliographic records covering the fields of computing and information technology. The full-text database includes the complete collection of ACM's publications, including journals, conference proceedings, magazines, newsletters and multimedia titles.

It can be accessed with the following steps:

    1. User can further browse by clicking on the option on the right hand side on Journals/Transactions, Magazines and Proceedings or search using keywords.

4. EBSCO Engineering Source & Humanities International Complete

EBSCO Engineering Source is the Premier Full-Text Information Resource for Engineering Research & Practice. Designed for a broad range of engineering professionals and researchers of all types, Engineering Source is the premier dedicated collection of engineering-related content available today. Engineering Source offers cover-to-cover indexing for over 3,000 publications, including journals, monographs, magazines and trade publications, all directly dealing with engineering-related issues. Energy-focused monographs, books, conference papers and proceedings are also included.

Humanities International Complete is an invaluable resource for Students, Researchers and Educators interested in all aspects of International Humanities. This resource provides full-text of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Produced by Whitston Publishing (an imprint of EBSCO Publishing), this database includes all data from Humanities International Index plus unique full-text content, much of which is not found in other databases.

The full text of the articles can be accessed with the following steps:

    1. Choose Databases
      To search within a single database, click the database name listed. To select more than one database to search, check the boxes next to the databases and click Continue.
